Massachusetts Statehouse legislators flush a restore Happy Hour proposal down the drain.

Even worse, they did it by opting to use a cheesy procedural maneuver.

Casino gambling is legal in the Commonwealth. 

So too is the legal sale of recreational marijuana.

One would think that state legislators of all people would be up for supporting the latest bill to bring back Happy Hour after it was banned thirty-eight years ago.

Then again, it is not like a politician ever picked up a bar tab. 

At least not when lobbyists are around, that is.
