Quincy Center snow-blocked parking to be cleared.

When, however, is not so sure, much less for the rest of Quincy.

In any event, temporary no parking signs were posted here and there in Quincy Center so as to clear the way for overnight snow removal.

In the meanwhile, Quincy Quarry has been advised by a Citizen Observer that City of Quincy parking meter men were tagging cars parked on side streets along Washington Street heading towards the 7/11 convenience store and Cagney’s restaurant.

Granted, there probably are legal bases to tag the cars; at the same time, given that street parking is sparse most everywhere in Quincy during the best of times, one would think that the City of Quincy should cut some slack for drivers who have been scrambling given the less than aces clearing of snow along many Quincy streets after Saturday’s near record-setting bombogenesis blizzard.

Then again, perhaps the free-spending Koch Maladministration is scrambling for revenue or perhaps responding to the complaints of the connected who have seen free street parking near their properties used by others..
