Quincy man indicted for vehicular manslaughter for fatally striking a pedestrian at the foot of Wollaston Hill.
The accident occurred in May of last year. One can thus only assume that the COVID pandemic has delayed processing this tragic matter.
Quincy Quarry both fully covered this tragic event when it occurred as well as opined that the driver who allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian out for a walk shortly after closing time near the intersection of Newport and Willow Avenues was likely driving at a very high rate of speed.
A Quincy District Court grand jury handed down the indictment and the matter is now going to be transferred to Superior Court in Dedham for trial.
No word of an arraignment date in Superior Court at this point, much less when the case might go to trial.
