Skidmarks appear to be southbound

Was the latest Quincy Center tree killer out on bail for something else?

While conferring with the Quincy Quarry Citizen Photojournalist who captured images of yesterday morning’s destruction single-car accident near Quincy’s City Hall, Quincy Quarry’s Accident Reconstruction Recon Team Six happened upon some curious findings.

For example, skidmarks that contradict the initial perception that the driver of the SUV who now stands assumed to have committed at least involuntary arborealicide was heading along the Washington Street/Hancock Street corridor in Quincy Center at least generally towards Wollaston.

Instead, it appears that the driver may have been heading towards Weymouth or at least Quincy Point and so would have had crossed over opposing lanes of traffic before whacking a surely innocent tree.

That and clear indications given the violent decapitation of the victim that the driver was surely driving at a high rate of speed on top of his concurrently losing control of his premium German SUV ride.

The most dramatic finding, however, was care of a review of the images captured shortly after the violent impact upon an innocent tree.

Specifically, it would appear that the driver was wearing an ankle GPS monitor of the sort imposed upon certain people who are granted bail or at least release on their respective recognizance pending trial, are out on parole, or perhaps subject to some other manner of house arrest.  Accordingly, Quincy Quarry conferred with two appropriately qualified professionals.

Both agreed that the assumed driver’s right ankle looked to be festooned with a GPS monitor.

Don’t leave home without it if ordered to wear it

Unclear as to what might be the case for this driver notwithstanding, possible reasons for wearing an electronic ankle bracelet in Massachusetts can be found here as well as controversies underlying their use both here as well as here.

Granted, Quincy Quarry’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers know that Quincy Quarry can fuggedaboutit obtaining information, much less but cooperation, from the Quincy Police Department about this matter, especially as one can only reasonably assume that the local police are investigating the incident figure out what sorts of charges might be in order.

In the meanwhile, while the accident occurred moments after sunrise, one cannot help but wonder if the driver may still have been in violation of curfew terms which are often imposed upon those released from confinement or at least avoided in exchange for agreeing to wear a GPS monitor.

After all, unless he lived very close by, he very well could have hit the road before the crack of dawn so as to take care of whatever business he had in mind yesterday morning.

Wicked close by, not to mention who only knows just what was fueling his high-speed hurry.
