Speculation as to why the hackers have returned most of the ill-gotten tokens range from problems figuring out how to launder electronic currency to the possibility, that the returned tokens could actually be traced in spite of the fact that the appeal of cryptocurrency is secrecy and thus crypto is a favorite currency by those who are engaging in illegal activities, to what is Quincy Quarry’s favorite theory: old school manual threats from those who traffick in crypto.
