Quincy Center Dope Busters!

Who else are ya gonna call?

While out and about the often mean pavement of Quincy Center, a Quincy Quarry photographer snapped a candid photo of Quincy Center’s Quincy Police Department two-wheeled patrol officers rolling.

Needless to say, their rides are both green as well as silent.  In fact, they are almost as silent as Quincy Quarry’s beat reporters although nowhere near as stealthy.

Their rides also allow these officers to more quickly cover their assigned turf.

Such is a good thing on multiple fronts.

For example, this team is succeeding a legendary foot patrol officer who retired last year and who this new crew will readily acknowledge left behind big shoes to fill.

Fortunately, this now-retired officer provided recommendations on his way out the door on what shoes are the best ones to wear when hoofing it around Quincy Center.

Speed is further important as this team is now further tasked with patrolling a new park space within part of the footprint of the former Ross Garage opposite the Party City store on Hannon Parkway.

Given the currently out-of-the-way location of this new park, plenty of tall landscaping to provide cover as well as multiple options for egress for those both on foot or relying on vehicles, Quincy Quarry News can only assume that considerable trafficking endeavored at this new Quincy Center park and thus these Quincy police officers will surely be busy.
