Brockton 19-year-old dies after being pulled from the water at Mound Beach in Quincy Point neighborhood on Sunday.

The deceased apparently waded into the water to retrieve a soccer ball, only to end up crossing into unexpected deep water.

Also unfortunate, while a retired police officer and one-time water rescue team diver was nearby and quickly hit the water as well as pulled the young man out of the water, the young man died two hours later at South Shore Hospital.
