National Doughnut Day is Today!

Once again it is time for one of the Quincy Quarry newsroom’s favorite days of the year, at least those which do not (officially, ed.) feature adult libations that is.

That and so provide a chance for everyone to chow down on a snack item featuring three essential food groups, carbohydrates, fat, and sugar – as well as down them with a fourth: caffeine.

Needless to say, many sellers of arguably the most eaten fresh pastry in at least most of North America are offering all manner of specials, including Canada’s Tim Hortons and even some Walmarts will be handing out free coffee and doughnuts.

Additionally, while not officially tied to National Doughnut Day, do note the always big on promotions Dunkin Donuts has upped its game on merch, including the timely offering of all manner of onesies for all ages as well as PJ’s.

Not only are the adult sizes especially comfortable for those working at home who do not have to participate in Zoom meetings or at least can block their notebook’s video cameras, but rumor also has it that Dunkin’s offerings feature more – if not a lot more – room around the middle.

After all, who among us hasn’t packed on a COVID-20 or more during the past year and almost a half from chowing on more junk food than might be advised?
