While we are all facing shortages of gasoline, chicken wings, and even 2×4’s on top of Quincy suffering yet another COVID-19 fatality, such are no reason to forget dear old mom on Mothers Day this coming Sunday.

The best Mothers Day gift advice?

Get lost!

And for as long as possible.

Or at least such is the advice of a working mother who is a writer on the Daily Show.

Plus, simply just leaving mom so avoids the travails of getting the right size, color, fragrance and/or meal. 

After all, what mother is going to return, much less give up, a day all to herself?

Not even if it means that Dad will be bringing the kids home wearing dirty, if not also torn, clothes and their faces showing signs of dining on things Mom would never allow them to eat or at least not allow them to seen wearing.

Granted, while the better purveyors of brunch time fine dining are not going to find favor with this Mothers Day gift tip, especially after the year restaurateurs have suffered given the COVID-19 pandemic, Chuck E. Cheese’s operators likely will.

Plus, mothers everywhere will surely so score good laughs yet again at fathers’ expense.

That and so “rain day” dads from catching a Red Sox game, playing a round of golf, or going fishing even if it comes at the price of a day off from his chipping away at the Honey-Do list.
