— News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News.
Snow coming but yet again no sign of brine.
While the impending latest and well-forecast middling snowstorm is about to hit the Q, Quincy Quarry newshounds out and about have yet again not seen any sign of pretreating local streets with brine or at least rock salt for at least the second snowstorm in a row.
Conversely, however, City Hall was salted yesterday to a fare thee well and then some after the most recent as well as a considerable snowstorm hit Quincy on Sunday following the clearing of Kim Jong Koch Plaza from curb to curb and down to the pavement.
Fortunately, Quincy got lucky with last week’s nor’easter hit as the rain/snow line wobbled a bit west and thus Quincy was hit with but rainy slush whereas suburbs but a few miles or west were hit by upwards of a foot or more of snow.
In any event, it would appear that not only did Puxatawny Phil made the right call that we should expect six more weeks of winter as the Winter of 2021 is already one with an above-average snowfall as well as experiencing a pattern of back to back to back to back some more snowstorms reminiscent of the Winter of 2015.
Regardless, the Quincy Quarry News personnel out and about working the ever-increasingly mean as well as soon to again be snow-covered streets of the Q found at least one local purveyor of adult beverages stocking up on adult beverages in advance of the latest storm to hit Quincy.
No sign of also resupplying toilet paper, beer nuts, or pretzels, however.
