Quincy Remains Solidly in the COVID-19 Red Zone

While Quincy continues to experience declines in both its rate of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 as well as its percent of tests that are positive for COVID-19, Quincy’s latest infection rate per 100,000 is only 9% lower than the statewide average but 21% higher than the statewide rate when it comes to the testing positive rate and which thus poses various concerns.

Further disconcerting, if recent trends continue, Quincy will likely remain in the Red Zone until around at least the end of this month or thereabouts.

Conversely, the nearby communities of Boston, Hingham, and Milton are well into relatively lower risk Yellow Zone as well as continuing to experience ever-lower risk metrics.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers can count on the Quarry to continues to duly report on Quincy’s COVID-19 risk status when as well as appropriate.
