Things are getting grim in the Q
A buzz-caribbean.com image

Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch finally admits Quincy is likely heading towards a Red Zone COVID-19 risk rating.

After weeks of Quincy Quarry repeatedly pointing out the fact that Quincy was experiencing a second COVID-19 surge and then again ending up on the state’s COVID-19 Yellow Zone list as well as is now looking to soon end up on the Red Zone COVID-19 risk list, Quincy Mayor Koch finally acknowledged that Quincy was probably heading towards a Red Zone risk rating.

No clue, however, if Quincy Quarry coverage had anything to do with the mayor finally addressing Quincy’s rocketing towards COVID-19 risk status.

Plus, as Quincy Quarry News’ ever-growing legions of loyal readers know, there is no way that the Koch Maladministration is ever going to acknowledge the impact of Quarry exposés upon it doings and most especially arguable misdoings.

Even so, as well as of particular possible significance, the mayor made this statement during one of his COVID-19 YouTube updates and which was posted a couple of days after one was finally posted after Mayor Koch failed to post an update over a two-week span spanning both November and December and which of course Quincy Quarry exposéd.

Cases spiking towards the Red Zone in the Q
Massachusetts Department of Public Health data

During the mayor’s hiatus in providing COVID-19 YouTube updates, cases were spiking locally as well as that Quincy was concurrently again accorded with a Yellow Zone COVID-19 risk rating after it had been moved back to a Green Zone rating when the state raised the risk criteria even as local cases were increasing.

In any event, in his second video in but several days, the mayor both acknowledged that local infection rates have increased but then slipped in how after two days of considerable case numbers there was a modest decline on the third day.

So what if this might be – if not is – only to be expected random variability even as new cases are looking likely to continue to spike.

After all, they have all but invariably been spiking most everywhere in recent weeks, if not also accelerating, following overly large Thanksgiving gatherings as well as given likely social distance fatigue in general.
