Target rendering for its Streeterville Chicago store

Hasbro Toys to get the lead out of fifty-two thousand water guns sold at Target.

Just when one might think that this long and hot pandemic summer of social distancing might not become any worse, tens of thousands of bored children and probably more than just a few adults are facing a recall of their socially distant as well as cooling toy of choice.

The problem: an unauthorized by Hasbro printing vendor supplied excessively lead-laden labels to a Hasbro supplier that makes Super Soakers to Hasbro’s specifications.

While Hasbro has arranged for refunding purchases, it apparently will not be offering replacement product given what one can only assume are further problematic links in its supply chain.
