A Black Lives Matter vigil planned for Tuesday night in Quincy.

The touted to be a non-violent vigil is slated to begin at 5 pm and Quincy Quarry has already broken out its Kevlar and gas masks to equip the unlucky Quarry personal tasked to cover the event.

As it is, the Quarry has already been advised by one of it ever growing legions of Citizen Journalists contributors that the only steakhouse in Quincy Center with a fish annex is already boarded up as well as that plywood looked to be heading to the glass house of hacks that is Quincy’s City Hall.

Preparations notwithstanding and given that Quincy’s peerless mayor is apparently not looking to be participating in the vigil, Quincy Quarry would like to hope that the all but not in any way inclusive Quincy Police Department will probably be able to help keep things copacetic if for no other reason that the former head of its Special Operations unit is both no longer on the force as well as a convicted felon who can never again legally pack.

Then again, other than a few restaurants, it’s not like there is all that much retail to loot in the “New Quincy Center” other than several cellphone stores and a couple of packies.
