Boston Police announce charges against 53 people tied to Boston riots.

Following peaceful protesting of the apparent killing of George Lloyd by a Minneapolis MA police officer on Sunday, some people ran amok afterwards trashing stores and other private property from Downtown Crossing to Newbury Street, damaging roughly twenty police vehicles, and variously injuring dozens of police officers.

Roughly half of those charged were not Boston residents and two of the out of towners arrested are listed as hailing from Quincy.

No comment was made if any further arrests might follow, although previous reports indicate that police are continuing to review security video and are probably following leads..
