Wollaston and Nantasket Beaches’ state parking will be closed for Memorial Day holiday weekend.

In the wake of the Wollaston Beach’s long-closed state-owned and controlled parking along Quincy Shore Drive resulting in beach goers overwhelming nearby neighborhood streets with their parked vehicles while they engaged in not socially distant beach going two weeks ago, the Department of Conservation and Recreation has opted to keep its parking at Wollaston State Beach closed in response to complaints by nearby residents.

While unstated, Quincy Quarry can in turn only reasonably assume that the DCR and/or the Massachusetts State Police are engaging in a little payback after City of Quincy officials endeavored to blame both DCR and the state police for the City of Quincy’s failure to control beach goers parking willy-nilly on nearby Quincy streets.

In any event, from Quincy Quarry’s media brethren down under comes a public service announcement about the importance of being responsible for your posse when going to the beach.

While the front end tease will likely prove more than sufficient to encourage Quincy Quarry’s ever growing legions of loyal male readers to view the video, all Quarry readers should watch all of the video to see its actual as well as socially responsible and surprise closing message.
