Freshly pressed packs of money

MBTA Police arrested Dan Flynn over an attempted robbery of a Brink’s armored car worker at South Station Wednesday afternoon.

While not exactly a money tree, a cash refill of an ATM poses an attractive robbery target; however, this robbery attempt was successfully thwarted.

Per the MBTA Transit Police, the alleged robber told the Brinks employee that this is a robbery and threatened to shoot him if he did not turn over the money.

Rather than complying with the alleged perp’s demand and threat, the Brinks worker instead  “created (social, ed.) distance” and then called for police assistance.

Dan Flynn was then quickly found nearby by responding MBTA officers who then arrested Flynn on a charge of armed assault with intent to rob.

As the name Dan Flynn rang a bell among the Quincy Quarry news crew, a Quarry intern was tasked to see if this Dan Flynn might be the same Dan Flynn who is both a since childhood best friend of Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch as well as now a convicted felony over charges tied to an eight-figure Ponzi scheme.

However, it was quickly discerned that this Dan Flynn is still confined within a Club Fed near Philadelphia PA.

That and how FlynnFlam will not be released from federal prison until shortly before Thanksgiving – not that anyone will likely be inviting him to a Thanksgiving dinner unless he might be cut loose early given COVID-19 concerns.
