A Saugus man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his own mother when he thought she was hiding toilet paper in the house report.

Deputies responded to a home at about 3 AM on Monday over a reported family disturbance.

While the incident occurred in Saugus, California, this Saugus has much in common with Saugus, Massachusetts, including that it was named after the Saugus in Massachusetts as well as that a busy highway runs through the middle of it.
