– News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News.
MBTA freezes up all but solid during the Big Chill.
With temperatures in the Metro Boston area dropping to lows not seen in one hundred years, MBTA and Commuter Rail operations were hit with all manner of service disruptions today from the still ongoing Q-ing cold run of frigid weather.
Not only were public transportation using commuters hit today with all manner of problems during this morning’s commute on virtually every manner of rail system in the MBTA system, MBTA bus riders also suffered a myriad of problems.
So much – apparently – for all manner of expensive cold weather resistance efforts undertaken by the T in the wake of in the wake of the Winter of 2015 Snowmageddon.
Even more worrisome, however, the extended forecast is calling for further unseasonably cold weather for at least another nine days.
Needless to say, expect Quincy Quarry to take advantage of every possible opportunity to report on how the current Q-ing cold cold spell is Q-ing up transportation in the Greater Boston area.
