Quincy Center new traffic light whacked again.

A previously whacked expensive new wrought iron traffic light base was actually fixed as well as in reasonably short order by local standards earlier this year. 

As such, it was thus again whacked.

This latest trafficking as well as now repeat accident victim along the Hancock Street Misalignment project was spotted by Quincy Quarry News personnel.

The Quincy Quarry News team on the scene at this accident scene had thought they had seen it all; however, the placement of skid marks that were surely tied to this accident left them baffled.

Specifically, the problem was how the skid marks were coming around from Temple Street while making a right turn onto Washington Street.

As such, the Quarry News team on the scene called for back-up by the Quincy Quarry Accident Reconstruction Team.

Even the experts on the Accident Reconstruction Team, however, were left scratching their heads over this one.

While – clearly – the accident had happened, upon running the numbers the accident team found the physics of the accident extremely problematic.

While the speed of the vehicle that caused the damage was theoretically possible, to create roughly twenty foot skid marks would  likely have required considerable as well as extraordinarily speed through a twisting roadway before the driver slammed on the brakes.

Additionally, there appeared to have been a brake failure on the left side brakes of the vehicle. 

Given a fail-safe design ethos, however, such a one-sided failure should not happen.

Similarly, the close proximity of the two skid paths would indicate a heavier duty dual wheel axled truck or perhaps a large truck trailer.

As such, Quincy Quarry hopes to obtain a traffic accident incident report from the police department and so be able to report back as might be appropriate.
