– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News.
Quincy schools will remain closed until sometime no sooner than after winter vacation next week.
Whether – or not – local schools will out forever remain to be seen or if Alice Kooper will merely be addressing graduating high school seniors whenever it is that they might actually be eligible to graduate.
While such comes as no great surprise in the wake of the Koch Maladministration’s ongoing mismanagement of snow clearing in the wake of this winter’s back-to-back-to-back and likely back for some more storms, it is still only fair to note that even Boston’s schools have already reopened after this week’s latest storm as well as so are or have already most other school districts in Eastern Massachusetts.
It would also seem only reasonable at this point to at least suspect that Mayor and thus Chair of the School Committee Koch may suffer from Triskaidekaphobia as the last day of this now-canceled school week is on Friday the 13th.
Either that or perhaps he also fears a repeat of the reopening of school last week and when a student was hit by a bus on his way to school.
Regardless of the real reason, Quincy Public Schools students are sure to suffer greatly this year given the unexpected disruption caused by all but back-to-back weeks or longer runs of Snow Days all but immediately ahead of winter vacation week.
