Stumpy and crooked

– News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News

Quincy Center street light bollard knocked sideways after apparently suffering a hit and run accident.

A Quincy Quarry Citizen Journalist tipped off the Quarry about what is clearly a long smacked sideways bollard-style street light.

How long ago was it smacked?

Well, let’s just say that the Quarry’s unauthorized data search team ran out of beers while looking as well as so become incapable of searching any further.

Knocked loose, loose wires, broken hubcap pieces and rusted

In any event, as one will readily note from the adjacent photographic image, whatever did happen to this bollard surely happened quite some time ago given the considerable rust and other extensively decayed damage scene detritus.

One can also only assume that the damage to the fancy cast iron ornate and thus surely also expensive bollard was probably caused by an automobile given pieces of a hubcap at the suspected accident scene.

Regardless of whatever caused the damage, one can only assume considerable potential for further damage caused by now loose electrical wiring or – at a minimum –  by the rest of the mess at this one of many crooked misdeeds in the Q.

On the other hand, one can only properly suspect that City Hall spokesmodel Pinocchio Walkbacker probably would assert that the clearly knocked sideways streetlight was instead actually a smartly cocked decorative bollard and thus a typical Quincy street-side accouterment.

Then again, he also has long been trying to make a pig fly.

As such, Quincy Quarry will instead monitor this damaged streetlight to see how it might take before it might be duly seen fixed care of the project management efforts of the longtime Koch coat-holder recently named supervisor of the recently established Traffic, Parking, Alarm, and Light Department.

That as well as also provided with the usual koched-up 30% raise.
