Quincy No Parking Emergency declared for another Chain Saw Massacre in Quincy Center.
Given a proper following up on yet another breaking badly story in Quincy Center, Quincy Quarry has uncovered new developments.
The No Parking Emergency declared by the City of Quincy along several blocks in Quincy Center was imposed so as to facilitate the removal of trees for the still ongoing and not exactly on schedule Hancock Street realignment project.
Then again, what project has ever been on schedule and/or on budget during the era of the now deservedly embattled Koch Maladministration?

Per Quincy Quarry’s invariably annoying persistence as it is confident that no one tied to City Hall would ever knowingly respond to any of its inquiries as well as given its views on fairness, the Quarry both did discover and thus must report that the City of Quincy apparently did – amazingly as well as for a chance – post notice of the No Parking Emergency scheduled for today on the City’s official website at some point on Saturday; however, the website was down for a considerable amount of time on at least Saturday and as was duly reported previously by Quincy Quarry.

While notice, however minimal, was endeavored, one can only properly view less than 48 hours advance notice via a but general posting – and in this case surely much less than 48 hours of actual potential finding of this posting by impacted abutters given the crash of the City’s website – as less than acceptable even by the standard of the deservedly embattled Koch Maladministration.
Similarly problematic, as of the time of publication by Quincy Quarry, the City of Quincy has yet to post replacement temporary No Parking Emergency signs for the expected to be much more consequential as well as actual construction work scheduled to commence on Wednesday of this week.
As the many loyal Quincy Quarry readers know, this latest traffic disruption in Quincy Center was duly reported by the Quarry in a previous exclusive as well as hard-hitting exposé exposing this latest Q-up in the Q.

Expect Quincy Quarry to continue to carefully monitor the situation as City Hall  is clearly not doing so.
