– News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News with commentary added.

Quincy quiet before the storm.

Perhaps too quiet.

Quincy Quarry assigned personnel to cruise the ever increasingly mean and soon to be snow-covered streets of Quincy.

Amazingly, grocery stores were quiet as well as that bread, eggs and milk were readily available.

Then again, only an inch or two of snow is forecast to fall starting around the back end of tonight’s commute.

No time for brine?
A Quincy Quarry News exclusive photo

Conversely, however, nowhere were any Department of Public Works trucks seen out and about spreading salt or brine nor were there any signs of brine anywhere to be seen.

Apparently, either the DPW is trying to control its labor costs or its workers are not interested in scoring a little overtime in advance of next week’s Black Friday shopping madness.

That or no one wants to actually work.
