Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller now investigating Democratic lobbyist Tony Podesta.

Tony Podesta is the brother of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s former Presidential campaign chair as well as who has been a longtime advisor of both Mrs. Clinton and former President Bill Clinton.

In a move that should but probably will not assuage partisan criticism of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, Mueller has apparently expanded his investigation of suspected foreign meddling in United States domestic affairs by broadening his persecution of government officials into a now-bipartisan inquisition.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Mueller is now also probing lobbying activities undertaken by Tony Podesta on behalf of pro-Russian Ukrainian special interests.

In turn, these lobbying activities may have been undertaken in violation of the U.S. Foreign Agents Registration Act.

As for how Democratic lobbyist Tony Podesta ended up in Special Prosecutor Mueller’s cross hairs, it was as a result of Mueller’s ongoing investigation into the finances of former Trump Presidential campaign chair Paul Manafort as Manafort was similarly involved with the same Ukrainian special interests.

Manafort’s Alexandria, Virginia, apartment was raided by FBI agents in July, and he has since emerged as a key figure in the Mueller probe.
