Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap:  The Dog Days of Summer get drenched …

Following last week’s cold, wet and wild weather, New England yet again proved that you if don’t like the weather, wait ten minutes (until another sort of weather you don’t like strikes, ed.).

That and how Quincy Quarry’s meteorological desk was clearly out to (a liquid, ed.) lunch last week when it suggested to the growing legions of loyal Quarry readers should expect hot weather this week in the wake of last week’s unseasonably cold weather.

Fortunately, there have been no known reports of consequential water damage from this past Wednesday’s near-biblical deluge, although one should plan on the usual local beach closings given high bacteria counts that typically follow local rainfalls.

Speaking of things apocalyptic, arguably the fastest firing anyone involved in the brief tenure to date Trump Administration was imposed.

The fired party: the White House Communication Director and who was canned a mere ten days after his appointment to the post.

Apparently, only the President is allowed to have a potty mouth.

Careful around that staple Scott …
An old Cosmo centerfold

Oh, and this latest story out of the White House has a semi-Massachusetts angle as former US Senator and now US Ambassador to New Zealand Scott Brown was recently bragging that he had introduced “The Mooch” to the Donald.

Post-firing of the Mooch by President Trump, however, Ambassador Brown has so far been unavailable for comment.

Returning to local news, in recent days there have been two major incidents of teen violence.

Over the weekend, someone was stabbed while hanging out at Squaw Rock in Squantum and an arrest warrant for attempted murder has been obtained for the alleged perp.

And on Monday, two groups of youths had a dispute of some sort in Squantum Park, with members one of the groups suffering beatdowns.

As is usually the case these days, smartphone video of the beatdowns was posted onto Facebook.

As such, the State Police has asked people to view the video to see if they can identify these scofflaws.

In turn, one can only assume that arrests are soon pending given that the teens have made it easy for the police by foolishly posting online videos of the beatdowns.
