Quincy Quarry News has been dimed with its first apparent image of a snow job during today’s blizzard.
The featured photo for this Quincy Quarry story was dimed to the Quarry by one of its longtime and as well as reliable Citizen Photojournalist.
The story behind the image is that the snowplow had been parked outside for over half an hour and counting when the photo was taken.
No clue why, however, the plow was long parked as not even the Quarry would care to see anyone risking life or at least frostbite to outside during the height of the storm so as to discern why.
As such, the Quarry can only speculate as to why this plow truck was not plowing.
For a few possibilities, perhaps an iced coffee break, maybe enjoying a cigar or a fatty, or possibly the City of Quincy’s Director of Operations or the city’s Munis Energy Manager might be engaging in field debriefings.
Regardless of what it the case, at least one city street was not getting ploughed.
Then again, as if such shortcomings are anything new in the Q.
Even so, while webcrawling Quincy Quarry’s latest intern found the adjacent image posted on social media with a Beechwood Knoll location tag and which posed an arguably new manner of Q-up.
While the Quarry was not able to confirm things, the poster of this image complained that several large snow plow trucks rolled down her street shortly before the storm hit Quincy and pushed large boulders of frozen snow that were not plowed out of the way reasonably soon after last month’s major snow event into the middle of the entrance of her driveway.
In turn, such resulted in a new manner of making a mess of things for a homeowner who had already duly seen her driveway entrance cleared of snow BEFORE an impending snowfall.
In short, as well as yet again, only in Quincy.
