In the rush of the final days of Local Elections Day 2025, one candidate opted to step up to do the right thing: help out those in need given that SNAP food benefits have been whacked care of a political food fight in Washington DC as we head to Thanksgiving Day.
While hewing to Quincy Quarry News’ informal policy to not offer candidate endorsements, the Quarry does hope that its readers will step up to the plate and do the right thing by supporting Ward 6 City Council seat challenger Deborah Reilly and her husband’s generous offer to match contribution’s made to Quincy’s Interfaith Social Service’s food pantry.
