This past week’s wet weather continued to dampen Quincy Quarry story output.

Fortunately, such worked out nicely as the Quarry is working hard to see worthy stories hit the fan.

Hit the fan as hard as possible eventually.

In the meanwhile, what did hit this past week opened with Quincy Quarry New’s architectural critic I. M. Wright figuring out where Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch likely plans to see the surely constitutionally-proscribed placement of religious statues on the impending new City of Quincy public safety building?

The placements at odds with where an ever-increasing number of locals are suggesting the statues should be going, however.

Not that they could fit where has been by far the most often heard on the street suggested location, however.

Next up was the most delicious news tease of the week!

The tease?

Quincy’s bourbon steak tips rustler was scheduled for a court appearance in Federal Court in Boston’s Seaport district on Monday May 19, only to see the hearing delayed until this coming Wednesday May 28 for reasons undisclosed.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry News as well as its ever=growing legions of loyal readers are dying to find out just what happened to the bourbon steak tips that are alleged to have been illegally bought with some of over $120,000 worth of city funds alleged to embezzled over the years by the now former city department head.

Or if instead Quincy Quarry should perhaps instead say confirm long-held suspicions about what happened with the steak tips.

In any event, the Quarry is looking forward to see the former City of Quincy Department head undergo further grillings over his alleged diversions of taxpayers money to purportedly cover various of his personal expenses.

For example, helping out a female shall we say friend who is not his wife.

In short, who know that Quincy was a hot and spicy Peyton Place?

Quincy Quarry News knew as well as as usual.

Further troubling is how the former city department head accused is also a now former BFF of Quincy’s peerless mayor.

Further troubling yet, is how the former department was the one-time as well as years long boss of one of Mayor Koch’s sisters and who supposedly never had a clue that her former boss was allegedly tapping city funds to cover various of his out of the ordinary personal expenses.

Speaking of hot messes, this past week even the South Shore broadsheet piled on over the city’s problematic finances.

Piled on big time.

In particularly, over how the city’s pension fund is again underwater ever after supposedly sufficiently self-funded pension via actuarial sound paycheck deductions was provided a $445 million dollar cash injection care of a $475 million pension obligation bond local taxpayers are on the hook to pay off over eighteen years.

That and further pounded on how Mayor Koch’s Director of Municipal Finance shoveled a whopper of a pile of pungent bovine byproduct at a recent city council so as to try to cover the mayor’s tuchas.

Pounded hard surely as the municipal finance director had endeavored to throw city councillors some cover even if shade thrown his way would be far more deserved.

For example, no word has been provided as to what happened to the $30 million difference between the $475 million bond issue’s proceeds and the $445 million later used to bailout the formerly woefully underwater city employee pension fund,

A pension fund which is again underwater by the way.

Underwater by on the order of at least $85 million at this point this year as well as likely heading even deeper underwater.

Steak tips anyone?
