After a colder winter than recent years, if not also perhaps a tad colder than seasonal averages over time, the weather warmed up nicely over the past week and then some for the most part.
So nice that cargo shorts became the casual wear around the Quincy Quarry newsroom.
At the same time, productivity around the newsroom cratered faster the price of Tesla stock of late, especially as the March Madness of the men’s and women’s college basketball tournaments gave rise to time misspent filling out brackets and placing bets online.
Even so, several exposés are steadily moving apace towards publication with one looking to perhaps be the biggest local exposé EVAH by any news outlet.
In the meanwhile, one thing that did hit the fan this week was yet another fatal pedestrian whacking that occurred along the short dangerous run of Southern Artery between McGrath Highway and Sea and Coddington Streets.

Further note that this latest pedestrian death increased the number of fatal vehicular strikes in this small part of Quincy to at least four in recent years.
Additionally, per a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Journalist, this latest fatally struck pedestrian was struck in front of police headquarters near the driveway ramp from the department’s parking garage.
In turn, this proximity all but assuredly facilitated the efforts of the investigation of the accident by the accident reconstruction team.
