Monday turned out to be a hot time for the Quincy Police, ongoing spate of cold weather of late notwithstanding.
On top of the other big police response event of the day, Quincy Police busted two alleged drug traffickers per police radio chatter heard by Quincy Quarry’s senior Citizen Police Scanner Monitor.
Police tailed the later busted individuals with nondescript used cars after the two purported perps left a suspected drug distribution operation that was under surveillance at an address Quincy Quarry is not disclosing as further surveillance is likely continuing.

After tailing the two alleged perps for several miles so as to endeavor to camouflage the surveillance operation, police then closed in to effect arrests in the vicinity of westerly Furnace Brook Parkway.
One of the two tried to flee and was said to have ended up struck by another passing vehicle before he was arrested.
Both were arrested with the injured party transported along to Milton Hospital for treatment of apparently minor or at least not life-threatening injuries.
A police K9 was then apparently let loose at the scene of the arrests and word was heard over the police radio that this K9 officer readily found at least Class B drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash in the suspected dealers’ ride.

Nothing like a good old-fashioned drug bust to remind us that Furnace Brook Parkway isn’t just for rush-hour misery and goose-infested jogs. Hats off to the surveillance team for keeping an eye on more than just speed traps—- although let’s be honest, half the neighborhood probably thought this was just another Quincy pothole sting.
Stay classy, Furnace Brook.
