Former Massachusetts Acting Governor and a Republican Jane Swift as well as declared anti-choice independent Quincy Mayor Thomas P, Koch are said to be endorsing Quincy City Councillor Ian Cain’s quixotic quest to secure the Republican US Senate nomination care of September’s primary election and then take on incumbent Senator Elizabeth Warren in the November general election.
With Swifty over twenty years removed from office, one can only wonder what her endorsement for Cain might do to boost his candidacy.
Similarly, Mayor Koch’s coming out for Ian Cain poses other sorts of similar enough questions.
For example, will Koch be bringing bundled campaign fund donation checks to any Cain local fundraisers at — say — Idle Hours or Cagney’s or at least Alba’s roof deck?
Similarly, it would appear that Koch has apparently been unable to see his Skipper endorse Cain.
Further, talk about bad timing for both Cain and Koch what with former President Donald Trump’s controversial appearance yesterday at the National Association of Black Journalists on top of the fact that both Cain and Koch were long active as Democrats.
Additionally, Quincy Quarry News is earlier awaiting official word of expected further breaking badly bad news© most any day.

Jane Swift — not so swift. Her endorsement may be a detriment.
I still maintain that Koch is a closet Republican.
Fredzo,
Don’t forget our peerless mayor’s Medusa Touch …
Wow, what an all-star lineup! Former Acting Governor Jane Swift, whose main claim to fame was holding down the fort for a hot second, and Quincy Mayor Tom Koch, whose biggest accomplishment is probably knowing every pothole in Quincy by name, are throwing their weight behind Ian Cain’s GOP Senate bid. If that doesn’t scream “political powerhouse,” I don’t know what does. This trio is like the Avengers of almost-achieving-something-but-not-quite. Can’t wait to see how this dream team shakes things up… or not.
