Local news went quiet this week as the summer vacation season officially kicks off this week given the Fourth of July.
Wicked quiet.
The only glass half full angle for the week past was how an early morning commute time water main break turned Southern Artery near the CVS into a makeshift splash pad.
Things were so quiet that Quincy Quarry had to expend some minor bits and bytes on an apparent Quincy Police bicycle police mutual aid road trip to provide security back-up outside of Dedham District Court given the Karen Read trial for allegedly killing her City of Boston police officer boyfriend.
Unsure, however, if the Quincy police bikes were ridden to Dedham or if they were instead hauled via a police cruiser.
And for the Quarry’s final featured story this week, it addressed how yet again Wollaston Beach was found to be too polluted for swimming given sewerage spills given a recent middling rainfall yet again overwhelming local sewer and storm drains.
