Boston was ranked the 11th best place to live in the world by Oxford Economics.
Oxford Economics is a two hundred and ninety person research firm based in London. In turn, it is thus way better staffed than the apparently but two person shop that recommended that Quincy’s mayor should be among the best paid to the best paid mayor in the United States and who soon is looking to be the best paid mayor in Massachusetts given an expected vote tonight by enough of a subservient Quincy City Council who surely but coincidentally also considering a 58% raise for themselves.
Providence, Rhode Island and Worcester Massachusetts also made the list at 95th and 116th, respectively, for other New England cities that scored high rankings.
Quincy, however, was nowhere to be found.
Boston boasts a robust economy driven by sectors like technology, finance, healthcare, education, and biotech. It is home to many major companies and startups, providing diverse job opportunities.
The city’s unemployment rate tends to be lower than the national average, and it offers a high standard of living.
Metro Boston is also renowned for its world-class educational institutions. It’s home to prestigious universities such as Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and three medical schools along with numerous other colleges and professional schools.
Boston also has some of the best hospitals and healthcare facilities in the country, including Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. The healthcare system is known for advanced medical research, excellent care, and high-quality treatment options.
