While Quincy Quarry News story publications were light this week, the Quarry news team has been digging into all manner of stories that are looking likely to break badly for the usual suspects in coming days and weeks.
Very badly.
In the meanwhile, the Weekly Fish Wrap for this week will be brief.
The swift hit to the stones this week?
Security for the City of Quincy’s website was compromised given an apparent failure to duly maintain website security.
The latest fail involving the City of Quincy’s online presence?
Apparently failing to renew a $60 per year software security subscription, a subscription Quincy Quarry has both long used as well as sent up for auto-pay renewal.
And as for another featured Q-up of the week, it was a rolling on the floor trifecta which broadcast news reporters can only hope to experience during their careers.
The trifecta entailed three storrowings along Storrow Drive on Friday.
While three storrowings in one day may not be record setting, it was one of the three that made this trifecta special.
Although the first storrowing involved a nondescript tractor trailer truck and the third a cliché rental box truck, the second truck was the money shot.
How so the money shot?
The second truck storrowed is a beer truck owned by a company that makes a double IPA beer it calls Storrowed. The brewery sells Storrowed every year around the September First college students move in-day and thus prime time for storrowing..
In short, as well as yet again, this storrowing of a Storrowed beer truck confirms that actual events are stranger — or at least funnier — than any fiction.
