In a development that surely saw local TV news outlets’s peeps at least snickering, a Trillium Beer Company truck was storrowed on Friday.
The reason for the snickering?
Canton-based Trillium’s offerings of brews include Storrowed, a double IPA beer that is offered seasonally around the September First move-in time for college students attending schools in Boston and Cambridge.
Even better, Trillium’s truck was the second of three storrowings on Friday. Earlier in the day a tractor and trailer hit a bridge and later in the day box truck struck a bridge to complete the trifecta.
Another truck has fallen victim to Storrow Drive’s notorious low-clearance bridges! The recent “Storrowing” incident involving a beer truck is both ironic and unfortunate. These mishaps seem to happen way too often despite numerous warnings and signs. It’s a wonder how these drivers miss them. On the bright side, at least no one got hurt, and I’m sure this incident will add to the already legendary status of Storrow Drive’s unforgiving infrastructure. Let’s hope this serves as a reminder for future truck drivers to double-check their routes to avoid more “Storrowings!”
