Yet another victim …

The week past started out with an all too frequent event in Quincy: a whacking by a motor vehicle.
Actually, it was a daily double!
The driver apparently whacked both a pedestrian AND a bicyclist.
And as for where, these whackings occurred basically in front of Quincy’s main library at the intersection of Coddington, Temple, and Washington Streets in Quincy Center.

Next up, after a big build up last Tuesday’s expected snowy nor’easter turned out to be a bust.
The path of the storm wobbled southerly late in the going and so dumped its worst on the Cape and out to sea as far as most of the rest of Massachusetts was concerned.
Even so, the City of Quincy so-called response to the storm still posed all manner of questions.
Questions which Quincy Quincy News is working up an after action report exposé that will be hitting the fan sometime next week.
And next up, what is the Quincy news beat without any reporting on violent crime?

Not Quincy!
For example, recent days featured not just one but two separate stabbing incidents.
Then on Valentine’s Day and which fell on a hump day this year, things only headed further south.
Much further south.
Specifically, the first day back to school after a snow day that was called in spite of no snow, a school bus was involved in a multiple vehicle accident.

This accident occurred on Dimmock Street near its intersection with Presidents Way, breaking badly bad news only Quincy Quarry News© appears to have reported.
Formally anyway as opposed to helicopter moms’ social media.
Then the very next day an SUV crashed onto Kim Jong Koch Plaza in front of Quincy’s City Hall as well as followed a day later by a shooting in Wollaston.
In short, “Only in Quincy” as well as yet again …
