After weeks — if not months — of Quincy Quarry News breaking often exclusive stories about firearm and knife violence in Quincy, regional media finally scooped the Quincy with news of a shooting in Wollaston.
The shooting appears to have occurred shortly after 3 AM outside along Marlboro Street near its intersection with Elm Avenue and thus but a couple of short blocks away from Eastern Nazarene College.
The victim is said to be expected to recover and police have announced that the matter is under investigation.
Update: Alleged Shooter arraigned over what was a domestic abuse triangle.
Specifically, Quincy Police Chief Mark Kennedy said that “this shooting does not appear to be random, our Detective Unit is processing the scene, and this investigation is very active and ongoing.”
At the same time, as the incident is under investigation by the Quincy Police Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the department at 617-479-1212.

Marlboro Street, along which the shooting occurred, is but a short residential side street in the Wollaston north of Hancock Street that is likely unknown to many locals whereas Eastern Nazarene is and thus its mention as a reference point.
