While not a Friday, today still was the Thirteenth and thus has been a long day for at least local first responders.
For example, both the Quincy Quarry News’ Senior Police Scanner Monitor and the Quarry Newsroom picked up radio chatter about a male said to be in his thirties wielding a knife as well as a concurrent call for both an ambulance and back-up.
By the time the Quarry was able to see personnel to the purported incident scene adjacent to the intersection of Edison and Graham Streets in Quincy Point in the general vicinity of Alumni Pizza on Washington Street, first responders were already on the scene.
Specifically, five police cruisers, including an unmarked ride, and an ambulance were seen at the scene.
Additionally, Quarry personnel witnessed someone in the process of being loading into the back of a police cruiser by uniformed officers as well as looking likely to be under arrest.
Further, the individual looking to be going for a ride was spewing the usual sorts of epitaphs one can only reasonably expect out of someone looking to be spending the rest of the weekend in custody as well as likely facing a judge in the Quincy District Courthouse on Monday.
In any event, given the low key demeanor of first responders on the scene, things look to have gone down to a good outcome effected by Quincy Police officers on what had been a long day.
A very long day.
