Around noon today, four Quincy Police Department cruisers responded to an arrest incident.
A “small” problem: the person apprehended could not be fit into the back of a cruiser and thus a paddy wagon was dispatched to the scene.
In any event, after the individual was loaded up for transport, the officers were given the traditional Quincy Police Department congratulation of “strong work” over the radio by dispatch for a job well-done.
Not a sexist or against much, but I saw a Q police officer, a small Asian girl that couldn’t be over 5 ft or weigh 80 lbs. How physically can that handle street work? Maybe a Kung fu master or useful in entrapment situations, but no. We need big, tough Marine types.
Johnson,
I know a not tall female Quincy police officer whose weight I dare not even think about guessing as I know that she could take me down and cuff me in nanoseconds, if not even quicker if she used her nightstick.
In short, technique and the element of surprise matter.
Some of us know better. No cop is going to cuff me, I’d knock them out with 1 shot. They will need a gun. Same for so many. Think George Floyd. A real cop would take him down in seconds. 4 cops couldn’t do it well, and they had to choke him. We need tougher people to be police officers. There was a test that all police officers had to test prior to 1976, the year the ERA. I guarantee none of the current police could pass that fitness test today. See if you can find out what it is, it even predates the Beav.
Paddy Wagon? You racist POS. I’m Irish and never been arrested.
It’s called a police transport van.
