Quincy City Hall’s Nutcracker cracked during Monday’s storm.
With the Nutcracker found by Quincy Quarry News personnel without a pulse, City Hall security was so undercut.
Uncertain, however, if the Nutcracker laid down his life to protect nearby Santa and Mrs. Claus from the storm.
In lieu of flowers, it would seem only fitting to donate wholesome nuts to Quincy’s Interfaith Social Services Food Pantry or any other food pantries during this holiday season or whenever one can as the need for donations is year around.
Second the donation to the food pantry. Food is good, but for every dollar, they can get $4 in value. More may know more about that, but let’s help. People need to help each other
Johnson,
Do tell how the four dollars in value for one dollar angle works. QQ readers need to know!!!
By donating to the Boston Food Bank, they take the money and get good value? Gives the question back, is Quincy associated with them??? It’s where I donate. They must have buying arrangements.
Johnson,
The Boston Food Bank and Quincy’s Interfaith Services Food Bank are independent as well as have different operating models. BFB relies more on cash donations, grants and arraignments to score food products still good to use but getting short on their use by dates. It is also a very large scale and busy operation. ISFB, on the other hand, also relies on donated food from individuals and organizations as it is a smaller program and can more readily do so. Regardless of their differences, both are doing good work.
