— News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News with commentary added
First up, Quincy Quarry commenced its ninth year of e-publication and then the breaking badly bad news© of the week broke amusingly.
Wicked amusingly.
For example, a dummy of a female driver was busted by state police for setting up a mannequin as a male passenger to grift her way into the High Occupancy Vehicle lane on the Central Artery.
The assumed tell: a female driving a Mercedes Benz with a male in the passenger seat.
And as for a longtime Quincy Quarry reader the tell was even easier to spot Mayor Koch’s reelection team running a poll about the upcoming mayoral election when he was contacted by a pollster.
Not only did the Quarry reader lay waste to a poll which sidestepped all manner of local hot topics for which at least most blame fails upon Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch, the poll respondent scored a spew by the pollster when he volunteered that his primary, if not also all but sole, source of local news was Quincy Quarry News.
And for a twofer, Wednesday night the Quincy Police radio chatter was talking up how a male in blue underwear was out and about in North Quincy and then radio chatter chatted up how a female showed up naked at the CVS on Southern Artery Thursday afternoon.
In short, move along folks, nothing you want to see.
And finally, be sure to note that Quincy Quarry’s long-promised exposé of how large a property tax increase local homeowners should expect came the New Year given Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s record breaking going away 9.7% adjusted city budget spending increase for Fiscal Year 2024 from Fiscal Year 2023’s also outsized spending increase has finally been scheduled for publication.
Further unfortunate for the free-speeding — if not also profligate — Mayor Koch, the publication date for this exposé is set for this coming Monday and thus prime time in the weekly news cycle.
That and just as locals are starting to become interested in the upcoming mayoral election come November.
Will Mayor Koch finally be hitting his expiration date or at least yet another bad haircut on election day?
Stay tuned!
I love your articles, but hate how the words are published in five word lines. Of course I’ll continue reading you, because your articles are always true. No Fake News.
David,
Thank you for the kind words. At the same time, it is only proper to note that the Quarry has never been known for crisp and tight editing of its articles.
