— News from elsewhere covered by Quincy Quarry News with commentary added.
Quincy Quarry News is pleased to report some good news to its ever-growing legions of loyal readers: the renovation of the Sumner Tunnel which links East Boston with Boston’s North End is on schedule per a senior Massachusetts Department of Transportation suit.
While the Koch Maladministration likely believes that Quincy Quarry never reports good news, the Koch Machine would so be mistakenly both focusing on itself while at the same time also failing to own up to its own as well as all but innumerable follicles.
At the same time, it is still only fair to note that the Sumner Tunnel renovation project’s projected completion date is the end of August and thus there is plenty of time for things to go south.
The lead engineer said yesterday that it wasn’t on schedule. I believe him. Only question is how much of a tax increase are we getting?
Johnson,
How about a link to support your assertion that the Sumner Tunnel renovation project is running late?
Channel 4 news had it. Guess we’ll see. Wonder if there are betting lines?
Johnson,
This is the most recent WBZ 4 coverage the Quincy Quarry could find via a browser search — see https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/sumner-tunnel-construction-on-schedule-traffic/ — as well as that Quincy Quarry often monitors WBZ news broadcasts in the Quarry’s newsroom but no word on WBZ has been noticed that the work might be running late — at this point anyway.
In any event, check with Encore Boston as it will take bets on most anything, including games involving Massachusetts’ college sports teams even it is not supposed to do so.
All the Bcrap in that report, the key statement, “I hope it’s done by Aug 31.” That is the only true statement said. What they didn’t say is what they and everyone knows, this will be behind schedule and over budget. Good job QQ, thanks for finding the footage. Just got to wait for results, and excuses.
