Care of WBZ AM 1030 comes a feature on a South Boston welding supplies shop that also sells goofy gags.

Tolman Welding Supplies took over the Little Jack Horner joke shop on Tremont Street at least on the fringes of the now former Combat Zone some years ago and now purveys cheap gags and such at 61 Dorchester Street near the Gillette Headquarters in South Boston within the business location footprint for its welding product offerings.

A word of warning for potential gag shoppers: Tolman’s is old school in that it does not appear to have an online presence.

As such, try calling (617) 268-1025 to find out hours of operation.

Also, while one can also refill one’s propane tank for the grill while picking up some some gags, Quincy Quarry rather doubts that Tolman’s will fill your whoppee cushion with gas nor should you try doing so at home.

Reasons include that some gags are a bit much.
