Granted, Mondays happen and things thus can slide first thing in a new week; even so, Quincy Quarry finds it disconcerting that the chief’s statement did not include the one can only reasonably to be assumed de rigueur admonition that the suspect should be considered as armed and dangerous and thus contact police immediately.
That and perhaps include a description of the suspect, including a photograph if available, as the chief’s press release noted that the alleged had been identified.
Further disconcerting is the local weekly tabloid’s coverage as the following is included in its lede passage: “The suspect in the home invasion has been identified and there is no active or continued threat to the area.

A violent black perp is on the loose with possibly two firearms and a knife; however, crooked Keenan declares the city safe—a shocking press statement from our police chief and Mayor Koch’s brother-in-law.
The police chief should cite the age of the perp so parents can decide if it is safe to send their children to school.
Quincy cops give another violent black thug a pass.
It is about time.
Can Keenan say if there are any firearms registered to the suspect?
Does the suspect hold a license to carry (LTC) firearms permit?
Why have the Quincy police not released a picture of the armed and dangerous home invader? Is he a minor?
Keenan needs to do a better job protecting home-based drug stores.
No name, no picture, no arrest = black, disgraceful.
