– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News
In the wake of the box truck fire in the Quincy City Hall VIP parking lot and which was but feet and perhaps moments away from causing another catastrophic City Hall fire, Quincy Quarry News has poked around given that little other than bupkis has been said about the fire by city officials.
For example, the Quarry now knows the likely owner of the truck that burst into flames even if the truck was incinerated well beyond the point of ready visual identification.
The Quarry’s dogged research desk then reviewed the appropriate official records and so found that the likely owner of the truck was all but assuredly not qualified to be contracted by the City of Quincy to do work on its behalf.
Granted, nothing criminal was found but there were clear indications that the truck owner’s business might to probably not was able to meet reasonable expectations to qualify for consideration to be retained by the City of Quincy directly as a vendor.
At the same time, the business could have been retained as a subcontractor to a concurrently enough body of similar work rumored to be going on within a portion of the city’s ever-growing real estate portfolio.
Additionally, courtesy of Quincy Quarry sources both high but mostly low, the business owner is apparently less than, well, organized and such.
In turn, one can only reasonable wonder if perhaps the truck owner may not have had the appropriate insurance in place.
Granted, if the owner of the truck that burst into flames was working as a subcontractor, the lead contractor’s liability insurance would be on the hook, however, who knows what at this point.
Regardless, Quincy Quarry’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers can count on the Quarry to continue to work the story as well as report back on its findings as might be appropriate.
