City of Quincy killing trees continues?
– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News
Arboreal abuse by the City of Quincy appears to be continuing.
Courtesy of a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Nature Lover come both images and word of yet another apparent round of inexcusable tree killings by the City of Quincy.
While out and about in Merrymount Park enjoying the recent run of especially pleasant fall weather, this Quincy resident nature lover happened up roughly fifty balled and burlapped trees and so made ready for planting but now clearly instead appear to be dead.
In the wake of Quincy Quarry taking the City of Quincy to task via yet another series of exposés, this time over the city not having a viable watering plan in place to take care of fifteen hundred young trees planted throughout Quincy in recent years.
Even worse, many – if not most – of these young and defenseless trees before the drought were already not exactly flourishing.
As such, one would think that those behind this latest apparently negligent whacking of innocent trees would have covered up this latest local instance of carnage.
For example, by running the remains through a woodchipper as soon as possible.
Then again, that would have been the smart thing to do and – well …
Unclear at this point, however, is if these trees were slated to replace some of the trees lost to drought over this past summer or for some other landscaping application.
The key reason for the mystery?
For a change as well as luckily for the Koch Administration, it did not set up a photo op to tout the planting of these now apparently deceased trees.
Regardless, while only God can make a tree, the City of Quincy continues to kill them with impunity.

More waste of taxpayer money.
Replacing dead trees with dead trees? Imagine the cost that can be incurred by such activities — the Lord Mayor must be all-in on this one.
The city’s taxpayers are like saplings to the slaughter.
