In the local breaking badly bad news© of the day, the Quincy Police Department’s Special Operations unit as well as its Crisis Negotiation Team have been assisting the Massachusetts State Police’s Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section in what has been a five hour-long and counting barricaded person situation in Quincy Point.

Details are scarce as regards the person said to be holed up in a self-storage facility adjacent to the rotary near the Quincy side of the Fore River Bridge.

At most, there have instead mostly been but a few statements from police that the public is not at risk.

Even so, at minimum, the air above the scene has been rife with newscopters circling low and slow over the scene since shortly before noon today so as to endeavor to score video for their respective stations’ 5 O’clock broadcasts as well as for “details at 11.”

That and how Quincy’s armored SWAT vehicle has apparently been been rolled to the scene per the monitoring of a police radio scanner by a Citizen Police Scanner Monitor.

Further note that this is also the second time that the so-called “The Truck” has been rolled to a crisis situation in Quincy over the course of four days per the monitoring of police radio traffick.
