City of Quincy weedkiller sprayers continue to spray under cover of darkness

A Quincy Quarry News Citizen Photojournalist who is also a night owl is continuing to digitally capture images of City of Quincy Department of Public Works workers continuing to spray weedkiller in at least Quincy Center under the over of darkness.

Then again, given the likelihood that the weed spray might well be viewed as a hazardous material by the Environmental Protection Agency, spraying under the cover the darkness could readily be viewed as, well, a stealthy way to go.

Granted, weeds are a growing problem among city curbs as well as in the street side city easement that include sidewalks; however, the city’s weed sprayers do not appear to be spraying weedkiller on the worst of the weeds growing rampant in city sidewalks.

Time to break out the chainsaws?

Then again, weed whacking and then clearing away the whackings takes far more effort than does spraying.

That and such whacking would best be done during daylight hours, not that many at the Department of Public Works workers would care to do any weed whacking during what has so far been a long, hot, and dry summer.
