– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News
News of this latest City of Quincy project that was apparently slated so as to happen under the cover of predawn darkness was brought ot light to attention of Quincy Quarry News by a local Citizen Photojournalist who was in the throes of insomnia.
While pacing about, this individual spotted a city truck with a small crew of workers working along a nearby street and so were surely enjoying at least overnight shift differential premium pay, if not also overtime.
At first, it was assumed that this City of Quincy work crew was watering drought parched trees.
Upon a closer look, however, it was clear that the crew was spraying weed killer along the curb and sidewalk even thought the drought has also taken a toll on weeds this summer.

During the significant drought this summer @cityofquincy is asking residents to help water new trees planted in front of their homes to increase their chances of thriving. pic.twitter.com/m2gF6ilmxN

OMG, I’m positive that bastard Dan Raymondi of 88 Elm Street is trying to kill my dog, Henry, for peeing on his precious steel fence!
Did Dan Raymondi ask his pal Tom Koch to have his kocharoaches spray their poison on our sidewalks under cover of darkness and to keep hush so his neighbors would not find out?
Why did the city NOT notify residents that they were spraying poison on our sidewalks?
Thank you, Quincy Quarry.
The city should spray rat killer around Quincy Center, not weed killer.
Do the Koched-up math: replacing hundreds of dead trees will generate sweet kickbacks and desperately needed votes!
What the heck is going on in this city! Our elected officials should be protecting children by killing the sale of recreational weed at the Quincy Canibas Company instead of killing pets on our sidewalks!
Also, I would like to know why the city chose to spray toxic chemicals on Elm Street overnight? Pay for spray?
A city in the weeds.
